CDS has increased its range of industrial TFT LCD panels with the focus across the whole being to offer only high quality panels with high specifications suitable for the industrial product market, which also incorporate the highly demanding automotive and aerospace industries. Many of our panels would be considered as high brightness solutions with brightness’s of between 500 cd/m² and 2000 cd/m² but we do have lower cost displays with standard brightness.
Many of the bigger panels within our range are also equipped with an automotive specified ultra-wide operating temperature of -30°C ~ +85°C making them suitable for a host of applications in hostile and highly demanding environments including military, aerospace and automotive.
Some of the panels within the range, such as the 7.9”, 9.2”, 10.2”, 11.9” and 12.3” utilize IPS (In-plane switching) technology which produces an exceptionally wide viewing angle on all axis (170° left to right and 170° top to bottom). Another benefit of the IPS Technology is, unlike TN technology, that there is no pre-set 6 or 12 o’clock viewing direction allowing for greater flexibility in mounting the panels in both portrait and landscape orientation. Touch options are available on all sizes with the smaller sizes utilising 4-wire resistive overlays, although Projected capacitive (PCAP) touch is also an option for the right projects.
Our bigger panels all utilise the latest PCAP projected capacitive touch sensor with cover lens already.
For plug and play monitor kit type solutions both the 12.3” and 8.8” sizes can also be supplied with a compact HDMI driver board, LED backlight driver and OSD keyboard including all internal cabling making a cost effective display solution which can be quickly and easily integrated into your bespoke housing.
