Becoming increasingly popular in the colour display market are the “Bar Type”, “Stretch” or “Letterbox” style TFT LCD panels. Our latest display that fits into this bracket is our 12.3″, 1920 x 720 resolution WUXGA panel. The display is an IPS technology panel which gives the panel an extremely wide viewing cone of 170° left to right and 170° top to bottom. The IPS technology also allows the panel to be viewed in either 6 or 12 o’clock viewing directions without any loss of optical performance. The panel incorporates a long life, high brightness LED backlight, delivering a brightness of between 800~1000cd/m² and coupling this with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 makes the panel ideal for a host of applications requiring a good optical performance in high ambient light and full sun. An operating temperature of -30°C ~ 85°C further enhances the S123WU01’s credentials as a TFT LCD suitable for the very demanding automotive market.

We are also able to offer the panel as part of a HDMI kit solution, the kit includes a HDMI interface board which can also accept a VGA input, the LED backlight driver board (inc. cable) plus a OSD keyboard to enable the display’s brightness, contrast etc. to adjusted (inc. cable) and an AC adaptor. This kit enables you to freely design your own bespoke housing or enclosure for your new or existing application.
