Introduction
After the success of the 12.3″ Bar TFT within the automotive industry, the natural progression for the dashboard display plus the in-vehicle environment/entertainment display appears to be the need for a bigger screen, our 15″ IPS Bar TFT would appear to provide this solution. The larger display has the same resolution (1920(RGB)x720) as the 12.3″ allowing for the use of existing graphical user interfaces.
The new 15″ IPS display has a very good optical specification, ultra-wide viewing angles of 85°/85°/85°/85°, a high brightness of 950cd/m², a contrast ratio of 1300:1 plus a 16.7M full colour palette. The display is fitted with a cover lens normally associated with a PCAP touch, this allows the display to be fitted into an installation without the need for any additional display protection screen/filter.
