Introduction
With the demand from OEM product manufacturers for high resolution displays within small footprints, display manufacturers are having to address these calls to meet the needs of today’s engineers and designers. Many of the latest designs for OEM products need to be smaller but the users require more features resulting in more sophisticated processes and a more complex graphical user interface. We believe our latest 2.4″ LTPS (Low Temperature Poly-Silicon) TFT LCD (KD024WVFPD102) with its high resolution of 800(RGB) x 480 pixels goes some way to meet these requirements.
The module boasts a superb optical specification, with its “All View” LTPS technology, ultra wide viewing angles of 80°/80°/80°/80°, 1000:1 contrast ratio, a 16.7M colour palette and a high brightness, 1100 cd/m², long life (50khrs) LED backlight all combining to produce a great performance across all ambient lighting conditions including full sun. The latest LTPS display technology enables a considerably higher resolution within the same footprint as a TN or IPS TFT, colours are more dynamic and richer, response times are faster plus there is less reflectance within the module resulting in a better optical performance.
