The latest addition to our comprehensive line up of TFT is our 4.0″, 480×480 resolution panel with integrated projective capacitive touch (PCT).
The panel utilises the latest IPS technology resulting in wide viewing angles of 160° on both the X and Y axis, another benefit of the IPS technology is that there is no negative grey inversion meaning that the display although near on square can be mounted in both portrait and landscape orientations. The panel has a good brightness of 300cd/m² making it suitable for a host of applications plus coupling this with a high contrast ratio of 700:1 a very good optical performance is achieved.
The panels incorporates the ST7701-G5 driver IC offering a 24-Bit RGB interface although an MIPI interface option will also be released shortly. The PCT touch driver is the I²C interface GT911 from Goodix and provides up to 5 simultaneous touch points which is generally considered more than adequate for the majority of industrial and medical applications.
