The latest addition to our embedded display range is the BE657, a 5.7″ VGA (640×480), 262K colour TFT LCD with LED backlighting.
The module incorporates a high performance Microchip PIC32, 32-bit microprocessor with built-in 512KB in-system programmable flash memory, 64KB of SRAM and a 16KB EEPROM. The module also features a micro SD card slot and comes with one full duplex, four-wired synchronous data transfer SPI port, one two-wired serial I²C port with 400KHz data transfer speed. With an input volatge of between 5~24VDC and an operating temperature range of -20°C ~ 70°C, the embedded BE657 display system is versatile enough for a host of standard and rugged applications from industrial to aerospace and nautical environments. The board comes equipped with an RS232 port as standard with a second port factory set as either RS232/422/485 or USB, other features include 12 x GPIO (general purpose input/output pin) and 1 x ADC (analogue to digital converter, one channel, 10 bit resolution). The module can be supplied both with or without a factory fitted 4-Wire resistive touch with full software driver support.
The BE657 is supplied with a comprehensive device library and programming guide plus a full set of software drivers and utilities supporting the RS232/422/485/USB ports, the SPI and I²C interfaces plus drivers for the TFT LCD. The overall module size is 164 x 106 x 29 (mm) and weighs just 310g.
