Another new addition to our industrial thermal printer range is the “KALYPSO” kiosk printer from our partner Axiohm, designed to be one of the most lightweight and compact printers (89mm (W) x 81mm (D) x 72mm (H) within this field whilst still providing a superb performance in extremely demanding and sometimes hostile environments.
The “KALYPSO” is in the 2″ printer family with an exact print width of 56mm, printing on either 58 or 60mm paper. It offers a high resolution of 8 dots/mm or 203dpi, giving a print line of 448 dots. The printer can be supplied as a 12VDC or 24VDC input device with the 24V version offering a super fast print speed of 250mm/sec, the 12V version still offers a very fast print speed of 150mm/sec still making it suitable for a host of ticket and receipt applications requiring an instantaneous print out.
The printer has an integrated long life (1.5M cuts) auto-cutter/guillotine capable of both a full or partial cut and comes equipped with both RS232 and USB2.0 interfaces providing a good level of flexibility to the system integrator. A wide operating temperature of -20°C~+60°C makes this printer suitable for a host of applications requiring a good performance in an outdoor environment such as petrol pump, ATM, car parking and toll booth ticketing to name but a few.
