Our partner Powertip are pleased to introduce two new high brightness WQVA (480×272) 4.3” TFT LCD panels incorporating CMO’s latest O-Film technology. One of the key benefits of O-Film is its viewing angle enhancement, angles are increased to 160° on both the horizontal and vertical axis, plus whereas standard TFT LCD’s are manufactured as either a 6 o’clock or 12 o’clock panel the O-Film allows for the panel to be viewed both at 6 o’clock and 12 o’clock directions. This O-Film technology gives near on IPS panel performance but is freely available without high MOQs and an unreliable future supply.
The PG480272T006-IBF01 is a 500 cd/m² brightness panel and is also fitted with the latest multi-touch capacitive touch overlay offering 5 simultaneous touches. The touch has an 85% light transmittance and giving the panel a contrast of 400:1 confirming the modules ability to perform well in bright sunlight. The non-touch variant of this panel is the PG480272T006-IBD which has a brightness of 600cd/m², all other optical attributes are as per its touch sensitive counterpart.
