A new rugged IP54 certified 2″~3″ mobile thermal printer will be added to our extensive portable/mobile thermal printer range early next month. The RP320 will be the latest introduction into this very competitive market from our partner Rongta.
With the printer sporting a very high specification and a rugged construction you would expect a high price tag however this is not the case, pricing is expected to be below the £170 mark even for small sample quantities which when considering that many other printers offering the same performance can be in excess of £300 which would equate to a great saving on your hardware budget .
The printer is available in either hi-vis orange or RAF blue and by its construction offers an excellent level of water, dust and dirt proofing up to the IP54 rating without an extra case or cover. It can also withstand a drop onto a hard floor from a height of 2M making it ideal for applications requiring a lot from their printer.
The printer has an adjustable slider within the paper tray allowing for different paper roll widths to be held securely, the maximum paper width is 80mm however roll widths of 58mm and 65mm can also be held making the printer a 2″ printer as well as its designated 3″ size.
The RP320 comes with a hardwired USB interface and can be paired with either a single wireless Bluetooth or wifi interface or a dual bluetooth and wifi wireless connection providing great communication flexibility both on the move and back at base. The printer is supplied with a replaceable rechargeable Li-ion battery pack which can either be re-charged with its supplied AC Adaptor or it can be re-charged via a USB port should there be a need to recharge the printer whilst in use.
To further enhance the printers suitability across many differing applications the printer can print both on standard thermal paper rolls or self adhesive label rolls (both with and without a backing paper) and supports black mark and paper gap detection. As with all of Rongta’s mobile thermal printer range the RP320 is compatible with Microsoft Windows, Android and iOS operating systems.
