The Smart UART Display range starts at a 1.3” 240(RGB)x240 round display and goes up to a 21.5” 1920×1080 full HD, 16:9 format and encompasses all the key display sizes in-between including bar type, circular and square options. With DWIN now manufacturing their own TFT LCD, this allows them a strong stable supply and to guarantee very competitive pricing on both their TFT LCD and their Smart Displays. In the context of our Smart Displays, smart means making something simpler to integrate and to use which is why all our Smart Displays can be supplied with a 4-Wire Resistive or Capacitive Touch with a full custom touch cover plate and screen-printing service also available.   

Advanced Technology for Simplified Integration

At the heart of the Smart Display range is DWIN’s own powerful T5L ASIC dual-core 8051 processor and DWIN’s own DGUS II development architecture which allows system designers to develop their graphical user interface, including all touch functions, images, fonts, and music files which can be created in popular software like photoshop etc. and be quickly and simply imported into the Smart Display’s FLASH memory via the DGUS development tool reducing the amount of development time usually associated in creating a dynamic GUI.

Reliable and Cost-Effective Solutions

All the COB displays have a minimum of 16MB of FLASH memory which can be expanded to 64MB, communication to peripheral devices is provided by integrated serial interfaces, TTL/RS232/RS485 and CAN plus a Wifi-10 interface is also available on some models. The standard operating temperature range for our industrial grade displays is -20°C to +70°C, however with many applications now requiring operation in harsh environments we can also offer variants that have an ultra-wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C as well as high brightness daylight viewing options.  

As well as maintaining a long-term stable supply DWIN are always looking to the future so they can be ready to meet the demands of tomorrow’s OEMs. With the trend to make the next generation of product smaller and lighter, DWIN have developed their COF (chip on flex) range of smart modules. The chip-on-flex technology makes the chip-on-board PCB redundant as the display module’s FPC now also includes DWIN’s latest T5L0 ASIC dual-core 8051 processor as well as 8MB of FLASH memory delivering the same powerful performance as their COB counterparts but within a very compact package.

Tailored Displays for Every Application

A commercial grade display is the ideal choice for an indoor environment, where you don’t need high brightness, the environment is always going to be 22~25°C and it may only be used for a couple of hours a day, but the key point is cost! If you’re not paying for what you don’t need, maybe we can hit your target. At the other end of the spectrum, we have our Severe or Harsh Environment grade for when you need a display that must work at -30C, is in an electrically noisy environment with temperature swings from one end of the thermometer to the other it’s good to know your display has been tried and tested and is not going to let you down!

Industrial Grade Outdoor use is supported. LED lifetime is more or less than 30,000 hours. The LCDs produced in the factory will have a 15-30 days aging test.
Automotive Grade Outdoor use is supported. LED lifetime is more or less than 30,000 hours. The LCDs produced in the factory will have 30 days aging test and 72 hours of 50 degrees C high
Medical Grade Outdoor use is supported. LED lifetime is more or less than 30,000 hours. The LCDs produced in the factory will have 30 days aging test and 72 hours of 50 degrees C high
Harsh Environment Application Outdoor use is supported. LED lifetime is more or less than 30,000 hours. The LCDs produced in the factory will have 30 days aging test and 72 hours of 50 degrees C high temperature aging test. Special treatment for ESD, vibration resistance, conformal coating, outdoor application protection, etc.
COF Structure COF is the best choice for customers who are dedicated in simple application products with the features of light and structure, low cost and easy production.
