The WMH range is CDS’s HI-RELiabilty Panel PC’s which originated from a development for a bespoke solution for a mining application. The design went down so well, CDS decided to create their WMH HI-REL Panel PC range.

With clients extending into the process control, marine, kiosk and medical market sectors, this range has truly found its niche.

Designed for both ruggedness and flexibility the solution can be modified for the application.

Examples include multiple Serial ports, wide input voltage via terminals, additional GPIO, CAN Bus, WIFI / 4G.

IP FRONT ALUMINIUM FLANGE

The front flange is designed for applications which would suit either front or rear mounting. Each flange is fitted with a one piece moulded gasket to ensure IP66 front panel rating. An additional moulded gasket behind the glass gives additional confidence of Ingress Protection. Ample mounting points are provided allowing for equal even compression and increases the ruggedness in the harshest environment.

SCALEABLE DESIGN

The mechanical concept is scalable from a small 7″ solution upwards. If a design for a required size does not exist, a rapid development program can place with minimal tooling changes and short lead times. The design also allows for semi bespoke solutions where different IO may be required or replacing the embedded motherboard with an HDMI monitor interface.

DESIGNED TO BE SEEN

Only industrial grade components are used within the design including High Bright Liquid Crystal TFT Displays. The solutions are also fitted with an Ambient Light Sensor to reduce brightness in darker conditions saving power and avoiding glare. Optical bonding is also and option. A compound is applied in the void between front layers which gives a number of advantages, the main one being enhancing the optical performance dramatically.
