The customer required a high-brightness display to be mounted directly on the open deck of a vessel — fully exposed to the elements and relied upon for critical operational data.
This meant overcoming a combination of environmental and technical challenges:
- Continuous exposure to direct sunlight, rain, and saltwater spray
- Constant vibration from vessel movement
- Wide temperature fluctuations in changing climates
- The need for IEC 60945 compliance, ensuring reliability in maritime conditions
- A requirement for clear, daylight-readable visibility at all times
On top of that, the system needed to meet specific integration requirements, including HDMI input, AC power compatibility, and scalable screen sizes.

- Marine-grade waterproof connectors for secure, long-term operation
- Automatic brightness control adapting to ambient light conditions
- Wide operating temperature range for consistent performance in extreme climates
Crucially, the system was designed with IEC 60945 compliance in mind, ensuring it could withstand the environmental and electromagnetic stresses typical of marine applications.

Once delivered, the display was installed directly onto the vessel’s deck — no additional housing or modification required.
