Why does 10,000 nits matter?
In extremely bright environments, ambient light can quickly wash out a conventional display, reducing contrast and making important information difficult to read. Research into ultra-high-brightness displays has shown that substantially higher luminance can be necessary to maintain visible detail in bright ambient conditions.
