CDS Purchases Display & Control Assets in Germany
Crystal Display Systems Limited (CDS) has purchased the assets of Munich-based Display & Control, marking an important step in the company’s European growth strategy.
The transaction brings together complementary technical expertise, established market knowledge and a shared commitment to solving complex industrial display challenges. It will also strengthen CDS’s ability to support customers across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Expanding CDS’s Presence in the DACH Region
The purchase will provide CDS with a stronger commercial and technical platform for serving German-speaking markets.
By building on Display & Control’s established expertise and relationships, CDS will be able to engage more closely with OEMs, systems integrators and industrial technology businesses throughout the DACH region.
Customers will benefit from access to a broader portfolio of display, touchscreen, control and embedded solutions, supported by CDS’s established engineering resources, international supply chain and customer-focused service.
Combining Complementary Display Expertise
Display & Control has developed specialist expertise in a number of technically demanding areas, including:
- Customised industrial display solutions
- LCD-TFT control electronics
- Scaler and interface boards
- Embedded technologies
- Application-specific hardware development
- Software development
- Visualisation and intuitive operating concepts
These capabilities complement CDS’s existing product range and experience in industrial displays, touchscreens, control electronics and fully customised display systems.
Together, the combined expertise will help CDS provide more comprehensive support throughout the complete product lifecycle, from initial concept and display selection through to control electronics, integration and production.

The transaction is expected to create new opportunities for collaborative product development, cross-selling and improved sourcing.
It will also enable CDS to offer customers a wider range of technical solutions from one experienced supplier.

This approach is particularly important in industrial markets where displays, touchscreens and control electronics must deliver reliable performance over long product lifecycles and in demanding operating conditions.
